Rapper-record producer Dr. Dre was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Monday after reportedly suffering a brain aneurysm, according to several media outlets.
The music mogul, 55, whose real name is Andre Young, was in stable condition on Tuesday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
The rapper issued a statement Tuesday night, Variety reported.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” Dre said through a spokesperson. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
It is not immediately clear what caused the rapper’s condition.
